What is the function of surface treatment of torsion spring
(1) Protective atmosphere heat treatment process. In our country, the heat treatment process of torsion spring with wire less than 15mm, oil quenched tempered steel wire and toughened steel adopts protective atmosphere heat treatment process. The surface decarburization and oxidation can be eliminated by protective atmosphere heat treatment process, and the surface quality of materials can be improved.
(2) Induction heating or protective atmosphere induction heating heat treatment. This process is usually carried out on the wire before the forming of spiral torsion spring. Some torsion spring factories combine the heat treatment process of wire material with the production of torsion spring to reduce the cost. Induction heating treatment has a good strengthening effect, and the speed of induction heating is very fast, which helps to refine the grain and reduce the surface decarburization, and can better play and improve the strength and toughness of the material.
(3) Surface nitriding heat treatment technology. In recent years, in order to achieve reliable fatigue life, high stress valve torsion spring or other high stress clutch torsion spring also adopts surface nitriding technology. Now the more advanced processing technology is low-temperature gas nitriding technology. Generally, the nitriding temperature is (450 ~ 470) ℃ and the gas nitriding time is (5 ~ 20) H.
